Most people could see that situation at Preah Vihear temple is better after Cambodia and Thailand had a talk on Monday 28 July 2008 at Siem Reap province. But now, there is no signal of withdrawal of soldiers from the temple site. Cambodia is waiting to see if Thailand withdraws soldiers, Cambodia will act accordingly. Cambodia is ready to withdraw its troops and could act at anytime. That is only the matter of Thailand which shall seek approval from its assembly.

According to AFP, Cambodia’s troops were ready to withdraw, but Thailand would have to pull out first from the disputed patch of land near the ancient Preah Vihear temple. It may take longer. It is only the time that will tell the world that the military situation will be better or not.

Up to now, it can be seen that dealing this situation with Thailand is very difficult as there is complex things in Thailand. Political issues, military forces, and others make factors to long process of solving border issues with Cambodia. Now, it is right that Cambodia will not withdraw its troops until Thailand acts first. Now it is the wait and see situation.
