Tuesday 8 July 2008 is the historic day of Cambodia, winning a bid to inscribe the Preah Vihear Temple into the world heritage list. Cambodians welcome and wish to see further progress with the conservation and development of the temple.

On Tuesday, people celebrated events to welcome the inscription. Students, businessmen, government officials, monks and others celebrated events throughout the country. From am to pm, people enjoyed it and will enjoy it forever. Pagodas were instructed to bang drums simultaneously, students and professors made parties and read message of the Prime Minister Hun Sen. Municipal Phnom Penh also did the same with dancing and singing. Other people from all corner of the state sponsor money to those who are at Preah Vihear temple, people at the temple also celebrated the event at the top of the mountain.

Coming to this, it is seen that Cambodians help each other with the national interests. They unite and this unity should be long lasting. At the Preah Vihear Temple, I can see a signature posted there reading that I Am Proud As Being Khmer.
